Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

FinderTrip.com is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a visitor.

Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics for website analytics. Fathom is a privacy-first analytics platform that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and is fully GDPR-compliant by design. We do not need to ask for cookie consent for analytics because Fathom does not set cookies.

Fathom collects: page views, referrer information (anonymized), and custom events (such as affiliate link clicks). It does not collect personal identifiers.

Email Subscriptions

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use Beehiiv as our email platform. Your email address is used only to send the newsletter and related trip planning updates. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. To request deletion of your email from our records, contact us.

Affiliate Links and Third-Party Tracking

When you click an affiliate link on FinderTrip and complete a booking, the affiliated platform (GetYourGuide, Booking.com, etc.) may set cookies or track your session to attribute the sale. This is standard affiliate tracking practice. These are the third parties that may receive data when you click our affiliate links:

  • GetYourGuide (tours and experiences)
  • Viator via Travelpayouts (tours)
  • Booking.com via Travelpayouts (hotels)
  • SafetyWing (travel insurance)
  • Airalo (eSIM)
  • GetTransfer, Discover Cars, Radical Storage (transport and services)
  • Babbel (language learning)

Each of these platforms has their own privacy policy governing how they handle the data they collect. We link to these platforms but do not control their privacy practices.

Cookies

FinderTrip itself sets no cookies. Our analytics platform (Fathom) sets no cookies. If you click an affiliate link and complete a booking, the third-party booking platform may set cookies per their own cookie policy.

The only data stored in your browser is your packing list checkbox state (stored in memory only, cleared on page reload) and newsletter consent preference (stored in localStorage if you interact with the newsletter signup).

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Right to access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (email address, if subscribed)
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to object: object to processing of your data for marketing purposes
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us.
